Big Brother

This week Joseph had his 18 month check-up; he got an A+!!! Joseph is 34" tall and weighs 28 lbs. He loves to play basketball and golf, color with crayons, play in any amount of water (which includes washing dishes), read books, and eat! He also loves to knock Ruth over and/or tackle her unexpectedly if he finds her lying on the floor at any point in the day. He is our laughter, our delight, our comic relief! He is 200% boy. Most of all, he is a gift...

Rebecca is perfect. She sleeps long, eats well, and cries very little. (if only we could say the same for Ruth and Joseph!!)

More news to come soon... for now we are resting and enjoying the adjustment to our new way of family life. But, we have heard the requests, so here are some additional pictures... (click any photo to see it larger)

Rebecca Sophia Greenhaw

On February 13, 2010 at 11:48 PM, Rebecca Sophia Greenhaw came into this world.

She weighed 9 lbs 1 oz and stretched out to 22 inches. She is a very peaceful and has mastered the art of sleeping.

After bringing her home, Ruth fell in love with Rebecca wanting to know when they can play together and when they can share a room together. Kristy and I are extremely grateful for Ruth's love for Rebecca and willingness to help take care of Rebecca. Joseph does not appreciate the divided attention, but all in all he is curious with Rebecca and sprints to wherever she is if he hears her crying.

The origin of Rebecca's name is Hebrew and it means "to bind" and/or "to tie." The origin of Sophia is Greek and it means "wisdom." Kristy and I are grateful for one more blessing from God and desire God to give us wisdom and discernment to raise these blessings in a godly manner and that He will guide our steps in every decision we make in life.
