Well Visits

We arrived back from Portland safe and sound, but with one undesired souvenir-- a cold. Ruth caught a really nasty bug just a couple days before we left, and was at peak misery just in time for the flight home. The day after we arrived I woke up with a much milder version. So far so good for Cam and Joseph. (I'll post on Portland in the next day or two once I get pics down loaded and the house back in order)

For now, we went for both kids' well visits yesterday, which was funny since Ruth s anything but "well" right now. In any case, Joseph checked out at 25 inches and 13.9 lbs, and Ruth is now 36 inches and 28 lbs. We've got some mighty tall kids. Both were given a A+ on development and growth, and Ruth's bug was chalked up to the Portland weather and nothing more...poor kid just has to ride it out until it she feels better.

More too come...

Getting Stronger

Joseph is a few days shy of 8 weeks old. We will be going to his 2 month doctor appointment a couple days late because of our upcoming trip to Portland. We'll post all the stats on his growth, as well as some pictures from Portland, in a couple weeks.

Bathing Buddies

Their first bath together. They both loved it...Ruth even got to help wash Joseph.

Happy Birthday!

On October 3, Ruth turned two years old. We celebrated quietly as a family-- sort of! We took Ruth for her first trip to Chuck E Cheese. We weren't sure what she would think, but, well, see for yourself:

TWO years old

A few days early, we celebrated Ruth's birthday with some friends, including one couple whose daughter shares the same birthday as Ruth.

Stinky!

It started out as a photo shoot for Joesph

Then, Joseph had "to go"

So, funny mama that I am, I called for Ruth to check and see if Joseph was "stinky"

Let's Wrestle

Cameron decided five weeks was old enough to start participating in the family wrestling.

For comparison's sake

Just to see the resemblance...
